This study utilized a qualitative design blended with the execution of a literary dissertation to gather extensive literature review from resources related to hermeneutics; to Ancient Near Eastern ritual and ritual practice in general; and to homiletical principles for Christocentric preaching. The literature review focused on gaining data with three research questions: What are best practices in navigating hermeneutical challenges in interpreting Leviticus? What are best practices in determining meaning in the ritual texts of Leviticus? What methods can be helpful to seeing the work of Christ in the Old Testament and specifically in Leviticus? \r\n\r\nThe literature review focused on three key areas to understand in preparing for and preaching a text of scripture: the hermeneutical principles wisely applied to the study and preaching of any biblical text; the methods and mindset most helpful to the examination of a ritual text (for this study); and the theology and strategies conducive to Christocentric preaching from any text in scripture. Three areas of literature review were approved in order to make this a literary dissertation rather than a standard qualitative dissertation (one area). These areas of literature review yielded abundant fruit that came to harvest in the final chapter, a study of the olah ritual in Leviticus 1 as a model for a preacher approaching a challenging text.\r\n\r\nThis study concluded that there are necessary components to approach the study of a passage to preach: utilizing preparation, investigation, and application to unearth the fullness of original context within a passage; and preaching every text with Christ as both the center and the focus in order to yield heart-transformation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"related_url_tesim":["https://covenantlibrary.org/etd/2023/Doyle_Ryan_Christopher_DMin_2023.pdf"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["library@covenantseminary.edu"],"_version_":1848717947202174976,"timestamp":"2025-11-13T23:00:24.526Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2025-10-01T21:22:47Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2025-10-06T20:41:57Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0a7ed591-990b-4c5a-b375-37dd8372fcc5","accessControl_ssim":["c80aa583-90aa-47f1-a76d-268c0d523330"],"depositor_ssim":["wurantivincent@mytyndale.ca"],"depositor_tesim":["wurantivincent@mytyndale.ca"],"title_tesim":["Investigating the Effectiveness of Praxis-Based Leadership Development on a Group of Mission Church Planters in Foursquare Gospel Church Asokoro, to Enhance the Leaders' Spiritual Intimacy with God."],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2025-10-01T21:22:45Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2025-10-06T20:41:56Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9fea8177-7e0a-41ca-aa2b-3ac7b1b39320"],"hasLease_ssim":["7069687c-480f-4063-b438-5308e7fe580f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry-Leadership Non Profit"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Tyndale University, Toronto, ON Canada"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. My Leadership Narrative traces my progression from a challenging polygamous upbringing to pastoral ministry, and from secular leadership in central banking to theological training. This illustrates the transformative power of resilience, faith, and divine intervention. My DMin research project builds on these experiences, my Philosophy of Leadership, and my Context Exegesis. It combines classroom training with practical fieldwork to strengthen the leadership skills, character, and intimacy with God of church planters in the Foursquare Gospel Church of Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria. Fifteen participants were mentored so they could develop Servant Leadership and Adaptive Leadership skills, which aligned with Jesus’ approach to leadership. A digital questionnaire, the Conceptualizing Leadership Questionnaire (CLQ), and the Spiritual Assessment Inventory (SAI) were used before and after the training to evaluate the participants’ growth in these areas. Before training, 8 participants reported gradual spiritual growth, and 7 indicated substantial growth. After the training, 12 reported substantial spiritual development. The findings affirmed that combining fieldwork with classroom instruction enhanced leadership capacity, personal character, and intimacy with God, shaping both who the leader becomes and what the leader does.\r\n"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["wurantivincent@mytyndale.ca"],"_version_":1845266553634816000,"timestamp":"2025-10-06T20:41:59.125Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2025-10-01T14:31:10Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2025-10-01T14:31:14Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1064ebc1-e299-4580-99e7-cf02b6b789d5","accessControl_ssim":["1b7a7af0-2203-4a80-b4b1-e50bfb64d6fa"],"depositor_ssim":["library@lancasterseminary.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["library@lancasterseminary.edu"],"title_tesim":["Pastoral Care of Children in Crisis"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2025-10-01T14:31:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2025-10-01T14:31:08Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5b3543e2-0b1b-4107-a163-eebdfbbdb2ca"],"hasLease_ssim":["aee6b151-354d-4290-8447-ff4711fcbcea"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Lancaster Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["1975"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The crisis situations of grief, divorce, and hospitalization illustrate situations in which the pastor may use the insights of child developmental theory and child counseling techniques in the pastoral care of children. It is hoped that this will lead to an increase in confidence in discussing the matter with those who come from denominational backgrounds which find this confessional Lutheran practice unpalatable. To this end, a study and accompanying materials will be prepared from a biblical and historical analysis of the doctrine to strengthen the resolve and comfort of those who attend the study in discussing and, if necessary, winsomely defending this teaching to their friends and family who disagree with it. Success in this matter will be measured by a combination of surveys and personal interviews with congregation members and study participants, particularly to see if the use of case studies was effective in the teaching of this doctrine. It addresses the persistent reluctance of Vietnamese Church leaders to confront this issue, a reluctance often rooted in cultural, systemic, and theological barriers. Drawing upon interdisciplinary research in sociology, psychology, and trauma studies, alongside a re-examination of Catholic theological foundations on human dignity and marital equality, this work proposes and evaluates a Prophetic Pastoral Narrative Preaching Model. The project took place in three different phases. First, I researched the field of church revitalization to determine what competencies are suitable in a multiethnic church setting. Second, using a team of experts in church revitalization, including LeRoy Ford’s book Design for Teaching and Training, I developed a workshop that provides an overview of various multiethnic church revitalization factors for the selected pastors. Third, I equipped the selected pastors with the multiethnic church revitalization workshop to increase their knowledge and understanding of multiethnic church revitalization. Finally, for the project completion, I encouraged the selected pastors to carry out the responsibility of revitalizing their churches, using the multiethnic church revitalization competencies. A total of twenty pastors attended the workshop, and the workshop lasted for about eight hours with six different sessions. The implementation of the project has also increased my knowledge and skills in multiethnic church revitalization."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1834751796538507264,"timestamp":"2025-06-12T19:14:25.339Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:08:01Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:08:03Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1bf31c84-fd30-4d93-8e4b-dfa11fa4599b","accessControl_ssim":["c45b74c1-b3a4-488c-a5a1-dbc5e020e8ac"],"depositor_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"title_tesim":["Equipping Selected Florida Southern Baptist Haitian Pastors in Florida with Doctrinal Competencies"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:07:59Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:08:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["686e0663-aca6-4b6e-915a-418f8e04b515"],"hasLease_ssim":["a2476aa5-4fac-46b0-9f01-cf4ab6bd4b94"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Dr Jake Roudkovski"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"location_tesim":["Florida"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. As such, \r\npastors and ministry leaders must be doctrinally and scripturally equipped so that they may, in turn, teach key doctrinal competency skills to their respective congregations. The purpose of this equipping project was to highlight the need for sound biblical doctrines with a selected group of Florida Southern Baptist Haitian pastors. I designed this project to expose the danger that exists in churches where congregants are not well-equipped on essential biblical doctrines. Many benefits result from churches where the leaders and \r\ncongregants are well-versed and equipped in sound doctrines. On November 23, 2024, twelve Southern Baptist Haitian pastors in Miami, Florida, participated in equipping sessions. The purpose of the equipping sessions was to expose the selected pastors to key Baptist doctrines as highlighted in The 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. After successful implementation of the project, a posttest administered to the select group of pastors evidenced growth in knowledge of essential doctrinal competencies. The participants’ hopeful request for subsequent training is also a clear manifestation of the accomplishment of the goal set forth."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1834751396530880512,"timestamp":"2025-06-12T19:08:03.862Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:02Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b4d93c0a-ec74-41ba-bd84-ccb090a2ca8e","accessControl_ssim":["f4d0edbb-35ab-49ce-bd9c-c575cb6a9c37"],"depositor_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"title_tesim":["Developing a Men’s Discipleship Strategy for Kingsley Lake Baptist Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:00Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:01Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["970ff975-22da-4009-a0ad-aeb6ba10794e"],"hasLease_ssim":["e859265b-7896-4a78-8424-0ee958045ded"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Dr Mike Wetzel"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"location_tesim":["Florida"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
