An appended commentary in English helps foreigners understand the background of the Taiwanese worldview. In the study, the meaning of life, four life-line figures, the view of deity, morality and life are illustrated. The study concludes that the Chinese thought of filial piety, the ethics of reciprocal love, the worship of heaven and the belief in 'tao' can serve as points of contact between Christianity and the traditional Chinese religions for mutual understanding and cooperation for the development of a harmonious and peaceful world."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716391870267392,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:01:39.741Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:49:27Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:32:35Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0161b644-bd11-4479-9622-554611539bce","accessControl_ssim":["adc68bfd-f68b-4d91-8dbc-490ceca934e3"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A narrative history of Black Episcopal churches in the diocese of Texas"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:49:26Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:09:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4a5f556e-e28c-4143-b543-fef510737387"],"hasLease_ssim":["ef751d62-52d2-43a1-b7d2-c9999caf9e96"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["University of the South"],"advisor_tesim":["Philip L Culbertson"],"year_tesim":["1993"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Robert J Moore"],"publisher_tesim":["University of the South School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["History","African American Episcopalians","Parishes","Episcopal Church. The challenge for the people of God who work within the defense community, given the moral ambiguity of their work, is to break the silence imposed on discussing the meaning and significance of work; to begin to integrate faith and work; and to thereby pave the way for congregations to become communities of moral discourse and action. The thesis project consisted of interventions within the adult education program of a United Methodist church to initiate a dialogue on faith and work as an initial step toward moving the congregation toward the goal of becoming a community of moral disourse and action. Faithful ministry to those who live and work within the defense community requires linking pastoral care with the prophetic mandate to speak the Word of the Lord of peace with justice to enable the people to more closely integrate faith and work."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["7eda0323-a6d9-4fe2-807a-22620dd389a5"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128410099023872,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:59:22.097Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:49:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:38:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"344672d6-b5ab-4d1f-b48b-3f199e315039","accessControl_ssim":["469232ee-649a-4425-8c60-6e639015efd1"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A plan for assisting strategic planning committees in the selection of appropriate models of single/young adult ministry in a local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:49:26Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:38:56Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a7509163-803a-40ff-8174-f264dbf87a8b"],"hasLease_ssim":["79b2a7b8-ed5e-44f7-810c-ce1f1503782c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["James Mason"],"year_tesim":["1993"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James E Schambach"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with youth","Planning"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this study is to identify unique characteristics within common organizational elements in selected models of single/young adult ministry in order to assist strategic planning committees in the selection of appropriate models of ministry.
