The project includes a number of ways to educate citizens regarding their political responsibilities and the critical social issues under debate in political campaigns. It relates compact CPE to a rite of passage ritual, particularly the second phase known as 'communitas.'  It compacts 400 hours of training into 27 days, as students learn pastoral care by doing it under supervision.  They develop their pastoral identity and style and become aware of how their ministry affects the recipients thereof.  The questions addressed in this study are: Is this process communitas, a ritual?  Does it enhance learning? In chapter 1, the significance and aim of the study are stated.  An effort is made to clarify authority in Christianity in chapter 2. Chapter 3 discusses the authority of the pastor in the church.  The authority of the pastor in the Korean church is dealt with in chapter 4.  The following chapters examine the authority of the pastor in the PCK by means of research and personal interviews (twelve hundred pastors and congregations are included). Consequently they begin patterning their lives according to the lifestyles portrayed on the screen, with an increasing incidence of personal problems similar to those viewed. All pertinent research and publications were reviewed, and this information was used as a basis for a seminar designed to inform church-goers of the negative impact non-intentional, indiscriminate viewing has on character development and personal lifestyle values. The events surrounding the revolution in Romania have rightly been called a miracle of God.  However, an even greater miracle has been God's raising up and preservation of the evangelical churches of Romania. The focus of this thesis will be historical, examining records of the events in the foundation of the church, as well as political events in recent times. This research enables ministers to recognize, in historical context, the various paradigms of reality with which Western believers interpret life experiences. To accomplish this task, this investigation uses a detailed literature review to provide a rationale and a theological context for churches to serve as a conduit for economic empowerment. Additionally, it presents and analyzes secondary data from the independent sector to determine the current level of economic programs which are being organized by churches today.  A case analysis of the economic empowerment techniques used by churches involved in the Industrial Areas Foundation is also introduced.  Thirdly, interviews with pastors of several churches with economic assistance/empowerment programs are included.
