Twenty prospects from seven families were discovered in the door-to-door approach.  Ten prospects from four families were discovered in the bulk mail approach.  Nine prospects from four families were discovered in the telephone approach. Because Baptist missionary work started in Korea much later than other denominations, many of the Korean Southern Baptist church leaders come from non-Baptist evangelical backgrounds.  As a result, many of them are continuing practices of their old denomination under the name of Baptists.  These leaders need orientation and training to the Southern Baptist denomination.  The pastors and the church leaders who engaged in the project were trained and motivated to use the manual to increase their understanding of Southern Baptist distinctives, its programs in a local church, the denominational agencies and their missions. Volunteers received twelve hours of training and participated in three months of supervised ministry.  Those workers developed care strategies to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of assigned clients. Participants were pastors, therapists, and pastoral counselors who give spiritual guidance within the Protestant tradition.  James Fowler's faith development interview provided a pre-retreat picture of the participants.  The leader used a regimen of spiritual exercises designed to evoke a powerful sense of God's presence for them.  The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Pearson's Heroic Myth Index, and self-projective artwork gave participants ways to engage their personal unconscious material. The participants engaged in three foci designed to develop their spirituality: personal spiritual disciplines, individual spiritual direction with the project director, and a weekly meeting that included group spiritual direction.  The weekly meetings also introduced the students to alternative spiritual exercises which the project director encouraged the participants to practice. Action research utilizing an experimental and a control group tested the proposal that reciprocal self-disclosure acts as a catalyst in facilitating intimacy and individuality.  Pre- and posttests employed the Group Environment Scale and the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale.  Based on a significance level of .05, the experimental group revealed a significant increase in self-disclosure.  The control group did not. Neither group demonstrated significant statistical changes in intimacy and individuality. The application section put the previous material to work in assessing the basic claims of five groups: the Pentecostal-Charismatic movement, the New Age movement, Roman Catholicism, Islam, and humanism.
