Phenomenological and qualitative research methodology formed the framework of study, guided by perspectives of grounded research and symbolic interactionism.  Results identify principles for the development of this intergenerational group. It was discovered that the friendship and intergenerational relationships within the church which they experienced in childhood and adolescence contributed significantly to the generation and development of their faith, second only to the impact of their parents and family life. Thus after exploring the Apostle Paul's model of worldview analysis and confrontation as recorded in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis examines the New Age movement and the factors leading people to embrace this worldview.  Then, following Paul's approach in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis applies a similar model of worldview confrontation to the New Age movement. Churches that were declining appeared to have similar program and ministry dynamics. Likewise, churches that were growing numerically seemed to share administrative and programmatic traits. Desiring to maintain a balance between the church's call to evangelism and its need to nurture and care for its members, the author established a model of consultation that would assist congregations to consider what their call to ministry might be at that time in history.  This project-thesis is the test of the effectiveness of the model.  Results have been very positive.  The information about the nature of Christian ministry and the permission given to churches to choose their course of ministry appear to be strengths of the model. The leader used the socratic (open-ended questioning) method to enable participants to expand their awareness of the power of Scripture in their personal lives. A process was provided for daily prayer and meditation between sessions.  Sessions included meditation, writing in a journal, responding to questions, dialogue in small groups and becoming biblical characters.  Most participants found the model helpful in deepening their awareness of and relationship with others, including God. The project implements and evaluates religious drama as a viable proclamation tool addressing an important congregational issue.  This thesis examines the issue of suffering using the book of Job.  It establishes a biblical and theological understanding of suffering and addresses the issue through an original drama, sermon and Bible study. Evaluation consists of questionnaires and interviews of drama participants, Bible study members and congregation.
