To deal with these relationships, four intermarried cases are examined: Korean wife-Thai American husband (husband-wife relationship), Korean wife-Japanese American husband (parent-child relationship); Korean wife-Caucasian American husband (siblings' relationship); and Korean wife-Filipino American husband (in-law relationship).  These intermarried cases show problems and characteristics of the four major relationships in the family. In order to understand the issue posed by these four family relationships, important concepts of the theory and therapy of Murray Brown are explored. Data gathered are the results of the evauation of a four month program for an alcohol prevention project.  Thirty two adults made up the target group.  Subjects were pre- and post-tested on the following variables:  building bonds, mobilizing coalitions, increasing awareness in skills and resources and mobilizing family and extended family. Results indicated that the program had a significant positive impact on the target subjects in reference to all variables tested. With a special reference to Kenya, he studied the genesis and survival of this practice to the present day, documenting side effects of this inhuman terror against women.  The method of study included secondary resources from existing documented information and oral interviews.  The author concluded that eradication of female genital mutilation will be accomplished by consistent interdisciplinary efforts by the communities of faith, the medical community and women-based non-governmental organizations.  Education at the grassroots village level will lead to empowerment of women and eradication of these atrocities and crimes by a male dominated culture. This project guided the sisters through a spiritual autobiography with questions which dealt with every phase of their lives.  In nine weekly sessions they shared their memories and stories with a group of twelve. This strategic plan began with designing the building to be user friendly and effective in this culture. Transitional strategies prepared the congregation for change. The design and program were driven by Cornerstone's mission. Seven key events provided the structure for marketing and inviting new people. New systems and teams were created or renewed in preparation for this new era of ministry. A lay mobilization process and assimilation method was put into place to integrate people and build disciples. A staffing plan was implemented in the process.
