Over the course of the series, two intergalactic guides help listeners to navigate their own sneaky little monsters. This podcast is designed to prompt listeners to engage in their own inner child work. Additionally, this work, “The Beloved Neighborhood: Toni Morrison, Fred Rogers, and Podcasting for the Spiritual Lives of African American Young Adults,” names that podcasting is a platform that offers a creative public theological outlet and is also for building disciples beyond the traditional edifice setting. \r\nWith consideration for the ever-changing digital landscape, podcasts are a tool for expanding digital sacred space for creative public theological engagement within the 21st century church. This work seeks to become an intervention by naming podcasting as a viable creative tool for public theologians who seek the reclamation of the collective Christian narrative through the inner child work of African American young adults with podcasting. The podcasting work explores the need for the podcasting platform in a post pandemic Christian world while building a framework for creative writing as public theology using Toni Morrison and Fred Rogers. Toni Morrison is highlighted as a creative writer engaging in public theology through storytelling. Fred Rogers is presented as a theologian engaging in media as a third public sacred space.\r\n"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/f8adcfbb-729d-4f28-a201-923ad7b2ec1b?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["f8adcfbb-729d-4f28-a201-923ad7b2ec1b"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["f8adcfbb-729d-4f28-a201-923ad7b2ec1b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["pwilliams@pts.edu"],"_version_":1798334365472653312,"timestamp":"2024-05-06T19:54:56.661Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2024-05-06T16:56:00Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-07T13:16:02Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"303ae2bc-c614-45d9-8806-058de7761385","accessControl_ssim":["e27b3d66-dbb8-44be-89bf-196ea6935e59"],"hasRelatedMediaFragment_ssim":["933319be-1e05-44be-9364-4f6456ddca1a"],"hasRelatedImage_ssim":["933319be-1e05-44be-9364-4f6456ddca1a"],"depositor_ssim":["michaeldavidhaddox@gmail.com"],"depositor_tesim":["michaeldavidhaddox@gmail.com"],"title_tesim":["Dad's Present"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2024-05-06T16:55:59Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-07T13:16:02Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6fd3c47e-f9b5-4cce-9cc9-5782eca880e8"],"hasLease_ssim":["79b8f20e-1a0b-4bc6-9116-cf0428a63125"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Dmin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["2024"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. It contends Jesus is often reduced to personal agendas rather than revered as sovereign king. Drawing from experience in rural Pennsylvania, the author observes a sense of separation and among community despite claims of familiarity. The paper advocates for a shift towards communal engagement and authentic faith conversations, positing that public theologians must spark dialogue while recognizing their role as facilitators rather than sole providers of theological insight. Authentic relational growth needs different communication and a reevaluation of community interaction."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NKC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/933319be-1e05-44be-9364-4f6456ddca1a?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["933319be-1e05-44be-9364-4f6456ddca1a"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["933319be-1e05-44be-9364-4f6456ddca1a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["michaeldavidhaddox@gmail.com"],"_version_":1798399869614817280,"timestamp":"2024-05-07T13:16:06.280Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
