Caring is a challenging task and a very rewarding task. This project produces a comprehensive manual that provides compassionate care to the end of life patients and families of Chinese ethnic origin and Christian faith.  There are different sections for families how to plan for the end of life and take care of their own health. Research consisting of a written survey and in-depth interviews determined how informed and favorable clergy were toward the Twelve Step movement. Pastors generally approved and encouraged Twelve Step activity, yet often lacked understanding of it. The workshop incorporates collaborative learning through a mini-lecture, individual reflection, small group discussion, role play, and focus group discussion.  Participants explore their results from Gallup's StrengthsFinder assessment from a Christian perspective.  Measurement tools include StrengthsFinder results, repeated Likert-style questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. This project explores the struggle from the vantage point of a full-time prison chaplain. The project includes a brief history of prison chaplaincy as well as literature review. Data gathered in fieldwork is processed through a pretribulational, literal millennial perspective of Scripture. The author studied six participants as they progressed through ACLDM by engaging in three phases of learning while in consultation with three supporting parties to determine if leadership growth occurred. The methodology used was primarily qualitative research and used methods of survey, observation and guided interviews to collect data. The research indicated that every participant experienced perceived growth while going through ACLDM.
