Following the ministry skill enhancement model, the project director researched the field of life application preaching. The project director developed a 'Life Application Preaching Annotated Bibliography' and a 'Life Application Preaching Best Practices' document. The project director then developed a four-week sermon series and preached the sermons at Warrior Chapel, Baghdad, Iraq, where the project director serves as the Baghdad Diplomatic Support center Chaplain. The project gathered a select group of subject matter experts to evaluate his sermons. The researcher presents a historical case study in which he examined biblical, theological and missiological foundations for indigenous church planting. He then presented the historical narrative of the Christian \u0026 Missionary Alliance work in Guinea from 1918 to 2005. The researcher approached this project from a postmodern theoretical perspective. Using grounded-theory and phenomenological methodology, the researcher surveyed parents and pastors through an online survey and follow-up interviews. Informed by the findings, the researcher developed a cooperative catechesis model that went beyond traditional catechesis approaches. In 1970 the Prescott Foursquare Church was discouraged and had a ruined reputation. It is today the head of a movement (The Christian Fellowship Ministries) with over two thousand churches. Key discoveries were crisis evangelism, empowered discipleship, and focused church planting. This produced a local church with dignity and authority for world evangelism. The author reviewed the cultural context of West Virginia and identified three obstacles the model must reduce or eliminate: low educational attainment, poverty, and geographic immobility. The author presented the model to the Candidates and Credentials Committee of the New River Presbytery, which approved the model with some suggested modifications. The theological, historical and cultural factors in this phenomenon were first examined.  An ethnographic research project was then undertaken, with the usual consents and approvals, by Focus Groups before and after participation in the Renovaré Life Streams course by thirty members of the congregation in four study groups. In response, the researcher interviewed sixteen congregants and six pastors from churches in the Washington, DC area about how they conceptualize and engage with pastoral authority. The researcher analyzed the interviews using a modified grounded theory approach. Analysis suggested congregants have an overreliance on a pastor's personal authority and an underdeveloped conception of a pastor's role authority.
