Preaching extemporaneously allows the minister to sustain eye contact with listeners and it also enables the preacher's speech patterns to be more conversational and hence more alive, and immediate, appealing to post modern audiences. Much has been written about extemporaneous preaching but there is a dearth of comprehensive and consistent information on how to do it. The thesis of this project is that various authors who have written methodologies on how to preach without notes can be synthesized into a comprehensive and usable application for preaching without notes. Data from listeners in a congregation suggests that preaching that is engaging and immediate is favored whether from notes or not. According to the National Organization on Disability/Harris Surveys of Americans with Disabilities, 47% of Americans with disabilities attend religious services at least once per month, compared to 65% of those without disabilities. Most congregations work to be hospitable and welcoming but physical barriers are easier to remove than stereotypical attitudes. Research indicates that virtually all pastors have predecessors and many pastors fail early in the transition to a new church assignment. This course is designed primarily for Christian university and seminary students preparing for ministry. Initial qualitative research revealed potential for improvement within the diaconate in a variety of formational, structural and perceptual domains. An eight week training process entitled Bridgebuilders was developed, operating under the thesis that it would have a slight but beneficial effect upon these domains. This project seeks to implement Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as a tool for developing services to all customer segments of any local church and, therefore, can be applied to the corporate leaders. Lessons from business have demonstrated the CRM is difficult to implement. A CRM framework, such as Gartner's eight block model, would help local churches leverage the benefits of CRM while avoiding the known risks. The difference between the pretest and posttest in the desire of the Christian adolescents to abstain from premarital sex was statistically significant. This study is followed by a seminar and a small group study for the purpose of applying the biblical principles outlined in the life of the church. The conclusion reached in this study is that prayer is the privileged expression of the Father-children relationship, fully granted to us through Jesus, the Son. The thesis develops the biblical/theological basis for healthy sexuality with a theoretical basis. The research design covers a three month time period. Couples were tested before the course and then again after three month. It was hypothesized that the incorporation of biblical teaching and cultural aspects of forgiveness would provide a forgiveness paradigm that could increase the motivation to forgive among the target community. However, the increase of scores in the willingness to forgive after the workshop was not statistically significant. Because of the resistance and difficulties they face in the ministry job market many of these women are expressing anger and disillusionment with the church and with God. Some are even entertaining the idea of walking away from their faith altogether.
