This project is qualitative in nature; case study research was the primary methodology employed. A biblical theology of inter-cultural community was defined focusing on spirituality, hospitality, and missionality. Ethnographic tools were utilized to determine the emic perspective of the multi-cultural setting of Bethel Christian Fellowship. Characteristics of inter-cultural leaders in a multi-cultural setting were discovered. Transformational dynamics needed to shift a local church to an inter-cultural mindset were described. Members of the congregations were surveyed following six sermons on Romans 12 and five sermons on Old Testament heroes. Additionally, participants attended a two-day retreat and completed pre- and post- surveys. The results of the survey confirmed that daily worship should be a prerequisite to church leadership. The researcher used surveys, interviews, case studies and observational studies to understand the barriers recovering people face. Spiritual practices that re-orient people within the larger missio dei were investigated in a nine-month research study which utilized a mixed method approach of phenomenological and empirical methodologies. The research identified transformational practices that later came to be defined as the spiritual discipline of Intentional Missional Engagement. Jackson, or prophetic, as was that of Dr. Martain Luther King, Jr. The creation of an effective church in its fullness is, of course, a long-term assessment. This project promotes a public health approach to the treatment of substance abuse by treating the family rather than the individual. Five sessions using an impromptu skit and four didactic sessions educated the abusers about the roles family members play in dysfunctional families. The goal was to develop recommendations for recruiting and mobilizing among millennials for ministry to Muslims. Missiological and generational literature review determined the nature, scope and methodology for inspiring and mobilizing millennials for this specific ministry. Subsequently a survey and interview questions for person-to-person interviews, phone discussions and e-mail correspondence with millennials were produced. Results demonstrated specific preferences, strengths and weaknesses among millennials regarding ministry to Muslims. My research focused upon three areas of exploration: is God always present; can effective pastoral leadership skills be identified; and is balanced leadership in the church driven by sound theology? My purpose was to learn more about pastoral leadership as it relates to the life and mission of the church during times of disagreement and conflict. From Scripture, I focused on Moses as a model leader who faithfully led the people of God along a difficult journey of change, conflict and reconciliation. Building on a foundation of readings about pastoral leadership and church conflict, along with business management resources, my strategy was to prepare a series of questions to help guide my interviews with other pastors. Sermons and a survey drafted by the researcher served as the basis for determining their fulfillment level. Employing the qualitative surveys and questionnaires, they were able to express their fulfillment levels. Consequently, the study revealed that the majority expressed fulfillment in their respective roles.
