Team leaders were given training in Personal Style inventory, DISC inventory, Spiritual Gifts inventory, use of spiritual disciplines, team building, mentoring, discipleship levels, and reproducing disciples. The methods employed multi-sensory learning techniques in the context of spiritual disciplines. The project measured affective changes in participants based on new spiritual discipline practices. The root of this is a lack of healthy teamwork due to an unclear understanding of the doctrines of the church (Universal Priesthood of All Believers) and the Pastoral Office. The author explores the leadership development process from Via de Cristo, known to the United Methodist Church as Walk to Emmaus and to the Roman catholics as Cursillo. Within this movement a healthy teamwork is exhibited by both laity and clergy. Congregational health demonstrated by longer tenures of church leaders and conflict with less intensity and better resolution has occurred as leaders understand and apply systems thinking, recognize the problems and issues in systems, and remain differentiated in difficult situations. The project accomplished these goals. The focus of the project is creating and implementing an assimilation process that encourages participants' faith in Christ, membership in Bear Valley Church, active participation in a Bible study, and the use of their gifts, talents, and personalities in expressing their faith. To prepare for the project the author read the appropriate literature and enlisted a leadership team. Multiple individuals participated in the assimilation classes. Appraisal comes through written evaluations and an interview evaluation. The leaders demonstrate an understanding of this process by engaging in an intentional relationship. The study explores the development of the biblical and theological history limiting women's vocational choices.  It traces the enactment, well into the 1960s, of 'disjoining' in the deaconess order.  Remembrances of affected women enflesh the archival records.  A theological framework is applied to assess the quality of the apology.  The disjoining and the apology are both stories of lost opportunity.  The women lost vocational expression and suffered economic and social loss. Worshipers participated in this contemplative approach to reading Scripture during six midweek Lenten services.  In three months, Sunday worshipers' sermon ratings increased almost one third (32%); this increase is statistically significant (p = .00). The Lectio Divina-style approach was introduced to a second congregation, but without the experiential participation.
