To that effect a triangulation or integration of both quantitative and qualitative research methods were applied to this study as best research methods during collection and analysis of data. Therefore, the archival research, questionnaires responses from 55 missionaries in Ethiopia, the literature reviews of scholars and interviews of respective people were intensively conducted as part of data collection. Yet many of these church members were well educated and some of these lay-leaders could be trained as lay-preachers. The objective of this project is to train and empower a group of lay-leaders to preach in the first generation Chinese immigrant churches. The project will conduct 16-20 sessions of training, some practical preaching opportunities, and the evaluations. To test this idea of community, we conducted leadership training to handle every member should they decide to join one. Seven new leaders and apprentices along with a host family carried the load of creating our desired result of connecting our church membership into small groups.
