This project considers the indebtedness of Pentecostals to sacramentalists and Evangelicals who contributed to the doctrine of a Spirit baptism subsequent to regeneration. The scriptures which relate speaking in tongues are discussed from a Pentecostal perspective, although alternative interpretations are explored. The project illustrates how a stage 5 modal level of aspiration among church leaders can encourage a church to serve the needs of people as different developmental stages simultaneously.  Church leaders who can reliably identify an individual's stage of faith, and who speak multiple 'languages of faith,' can adapt their ministries of discipleship, evangelism and pastoral care to effectively meet each individual's needs. In discussing creation, fall, and redemption, this dissertation exposited scripture and engaged in dialogue primarily with the neo-Calvinist writings of Abraham Kuyper and his followers. Through research, ten of the most prevalent crises encountered were identified. For each crisis, situations were analyzed to determine successful pulpit approaches that have proven beneficial to particular pastors in jeopardizing situations. This research found a strong correlation between preaching God's Word and weathering the storms of ministry. The project included three major phases. Phase one examined the missional church movement focusing on the Sunday School or small group ministries. During the third phase, associational leaders adopted the new strategy to empower Greater Orlando Baptist Association churches to train believers who think and live as missionaries.
