He led one group in an understanding of the possibilities of missional transformation in the local church.  He led another group in a discovery of their faith story through the use of a timeline.  He assisted the last group in developing the skill of finding and celebrating their missional opportunities.  He used sermons, seminars, interviews, group explorations, and prayer in this ministry project.  Phone interviews, tests, and interviews were used for research and evaluation. Cognitive therapy techniques were applied to six subjects who were presently experiencing doubts. Interviews were applied to four students who had previously overcome their doubts. The project also sought to determine if there are best practices among D.Min. programs that can be shared to improve all D.Min. programs. The project determined that the DTS D.Min. program and that of other institutions evaluated, are indeed very successful, and the D.Min. students are extremely satisfied with their programs. This research project explores possible reasons behind this discontinuity as well as potential avenues of greater sacramental awareness consistent with Reformed theology. A general overview of the history of sacramental liturgical theology is followed by an invitation to return to early ecclesial liturgical practices. It seeks to address the issue from the whole counsel of God's word, and not just individual texts or verses.
