The results illustrated the possibility of this kind of story taking place in other presbyteries.  The method of research implemented was to present the story to three groups of eight asking them to complete a survey.  The survey was used to identify what made the chartering possible. Method: a sociological questionnaire was implemented on a select group of Michigan Adventists and three focus groups; a manual was constructed and refined in two pilot lay-training seminars.  Results: Adventists had stereotypical perceptions of Jewish people, but were willing to be educated for interaction.  Evaluations revealed that participants' understanding of Jewish people improved.  Follow-up suggestions were recommended.  Conclusions: Adventists' attitudes toward Jews are influenced by theology, a lack of familiarity, ignorance, and stereotypes.  Lay and clergy training seminars are needed. An action research program was designed for officers of the church.  The program incorporated theoretical aspects as well as practical examples. The researcher used a qualitative heuristic research model to identify historical, theological, sociological, psychological, and educational bases for successful integration of Hispanic children into a parish school. The neglect of faith formation with children in the home is widespread among Christian parents.  The research question asked was, 'if Christian parents are equipped by their minister for leading their children in family worship, will they become more confident, competent, and committed as their children's spiritual leaders?' The model that is identified is described as a 'hospitable, eschatological welcome.' The five pericopes studied contain both examples and teaching from the earthly ministry of Jesus, demonstrating the alignment that existed between his words and actions on this subject. In particular, the pericopes center around Jesus' controversial ministry to the sinners and tax collectors, the criticism he received from the Pharisees, and his commission to the disciples. In addition, table fellowship, as an element of the oriental hospitality, is explored as the cultural context for that which was occurring in the key passages of study. The history of God's salvation plan is the theological backdrop, beginning with God's heart for the stranger in the Old Testament and ending with a look at the cross as the most powerful example of the hospitality of God toward man.
