The project will seek to: 1) clarify the roles of eight chairpersons; 2) form the chairpersons into servant leaders; and 3) mentor each chairperson through the counsel and guidance of others. The project was accomplished in three phases.  The first phase was conducting the research.  The research focused on biblical models of disciple-making, specifically the inner circle model of Jesus.  The research also focused on the processes of mentoring, coaching, and reproducing disciples.  In the second phase, the project director developed a set of lesson plans.  The lesson plans were used in a fast-track training for making disciples using a triad model.  The final phase was the implementation phase.  In this phase the project director trained a selected group of believers to become disciple-makers using the triad model. At the conclusion of the project, the project participants were asked to make a commitment to make disciples using a triad model. The first three chapters bear upon the dynamic of the imminence of the Kingdom of God in the preaching of Jesus and its appearances in the structure of the Lord's Supper. As reminiscing is a common characteristic among the aged, applying it in the preaching ministry and worship activity among nursing home residents can serve the purpose of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many helpful ways. This MAP explains and presents examples of how reminiscing from the past in the lives of the residents draws forth vivid memories in their minds. Used as a method in preaching, these memories can also strengthen and deepen the faith of the aged individual who is nearing eternity. Six sermons modeling this preaching method were written and delivered to the residents of the Greenfield Manor in Greenfield, Iowa, between May and October in 2005. Ten participants were trained through a five-session workshop that culminated with a weekend retreat. The workshop was entitled, 'Spiritual Formation through Solitude with God.' The workshop was based around the five areas of solitude: stillness, silence, sin, service, and speak. Personal interviews with members of the congregation and focus groups that evaluated sermons provided feedback and insights related to the effectiveness of illustrations in preaching. The researcher complied responses from the interviews and the focus groups to draw some conclusions about how illustrations function most effectively in aiding comprehension and facilitating and effective hearing of the message.
