These spiritual practices were addressed through a strategically planned ten-session program consisting of meditations, lectures, and workshops. A pre and post assessment was developed to measure attitudinal changes in areas specified. Although marriage is the emphasis, there have been several couples that had spiralied either towards separation or divorce without the consideration of reconciliation.  Therefore, I plan to focus on marriages in crisis and the pastoral ministry that addresses them.  My ministry focus will consist of a student guide for new ministers that engaged marriages in crisis without any clinicla experience.  The aim of this study is to present the discoveries of pastoral ministry though an exploratory research. The participants were involved in participatory activities using the pro-active method. This approach works pro-actively toward transformation and intentionally engages in qualitative research. The participants exposed to spiritual tools involving scripture reading, prayer, meditation, and dialogue were able to identify God's invitation to intimacy. Evaluation of the project included entry and exit questionnaires, journaling, and exit interviews. The objective of this project was to critique the absolute-truth claim of Churches of Christ and the interpretive and methodological structures that maintain it. The research methods used to test the hypothesis were action research and the pro-active method, using questionnaires, workshops, surveys, and interviews. The results showed that adherents were willing to rethink the absolute-truth claim. Twenty-one questions guided discussions. Pre and post assessments were administered. Prochaska and DiClemente's definitive research on motivation and Stages of Change provided tools to measure progress. Objectives were to increase motivation to make more healthy food choices, increase awareness of relationship between Christian faith and the problems of overweight and obesity. Motivation to lose weight increased. Participants reported greater awareness of the connections between food habits and faith. Olive Church will become a change agent within the community of Tunica County, Mississippi. The author accomplished the task of developing a model for ministry through qualitative insights using data in a grounded theory approach. This model served as a blueprint and affected change in the consciousness of members of Mt. Olive Church. The model for ministy consisted of gifts assessments, questionnaires and interviews, and a series of workshops and accompanying sermons.  The project revealed the elders were more motivated by the need to accomplish an assignment than by their area of giftedness. Results indicated that, while leaders respected the emphasis on gifts, they needed a respite. The researcher hypothesized that a twenty-hour seminar, in addition to theological training, would impact the participants to be actively involved in Christian leadership that is based on a servanthood concept. The project results, both quantitative and qualitative, suggest that the students as a group changed in their thinking.
