The theological foundations chapter suggest five means of experiencing God that come from the writings of numerous theologians of the past and present.  These five means are explored through the research of individual interviews and the writings of deaf-blind people. The Army is a subculture of eclectic American society.  However, the soldier and family member face unique opportunities, responsibilities, and challenges.  This book of meditations incorporates, through blending biblical research and military experience, Army philosophy and terminology with Christian principles.  Their merger resulted in a compilation of meditations. Each meditation includes a prayer, Scripture, military quotation, spiritual devotional, hymn, and single sentence suggestion on many high-interest subjects. Fifteen persons, 65 years of age or older, were enlisted in an eleven-week training session designed to equip them for ministry projects of their choosing, to undergird them in ministering through the selected ministry projects, and to guide them in evaluating the projects they selected.
