The major components of the project were: goal setting, communication, conflict management, personality type, and spiritual gifts. The author sought to equip the task force to identify, select, adapt, and recommend certain church growth principles which, if implemented, would help a plateaued church experience renewed growth.  Over a period of seven weeks, involving ten sessions, the group was exposed to selected church growth principles.  The group then adapted those principles, relating them to their specific church, and recommended eight ways the principles could be implemented.  The church then adopted the recommendations, implementation was begun, and growth ensued.
