Learning methods employed included a seven week sermon series, thirteen training sessions that dealt specifically with husband-wife and parent-child relationships, and a marriage enrichment retreat.  Evaluation of the control and experimental groups was based on a pre and posttest instrument, an instrument measuring relationship change, outside observation, subjective analysis, and personal reflections. Training effectiveness was measured with multiple choice tests, and pre/posttesting, resulting in an 88 percent increase in team members' understanding of their role in new member assimilation.  The project leader's effectiveness as an instructor and 'ministry sharer' was measured by a scaled Instructor Evaluation instrument and a partial Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis. Very few of the Hispanic Southern Baptist churches have a planned evangelism strategy.  Lack of know-how and knowledge of available resources are the main causes.  This project is designed to create awareness of methods and resources available in the field of personal and mass evangelism and to include spiritual preparation. The project also addresses the issue of leadership training. A core of strategy advisors were trained and they will serve as consultants to other churches and their associations. The goals and objectives were designed to be reached within three to five years.  The goals included the establishment of reachable ministry goals, improvement of the Bible teaching program, greater involvement in outreach, and greater love for fellow members.  The congregation was given opportunity, through open forums, to give valuable insight to the planning. The results were approved by the congregation's acceptance of the Guidebook, a new Glorieta plan to improve teacher training and the relocation of the church by 1992. Project objectives center in 'active listening' and 'I' messages undergirded by two biblical principles.  Eight training sessions, two hours per session, are conducted during a period of two months with five couples participating.  Subjective and objective evaluations are conducted. 'Active listening' becomes established practice for nine of ten participants. Attitude change allows participants to listen with empathy and respond without judgement or criticism.
