The workshop was designed to help parents and teenagers use the teen years for the process of 'de-parenting'.  This means through open communication to bring children from the organized world of childhood safely through the disorganized teen years to become stable reorganized young adults. The project details clergy experience and summarizes non-random purposive sampling of other clergy to determine their infant care solutions. In 1986 the school needed to be reorganized because it lacked clear goals and a well-defined action plan for accomplishing those goals.  Also, materials used were insufficient for training members.  The implementation of this project demands a sound theological foundation which included an adequate view of scripture, ministry, and the role of the local church as seen in the Assemblies of God.  The biblical and historical role of the laity is discussed in order to provide an adequate basis for implementing a school of lay ministry. The Christian church and Alcoholics Anonymous are parallel rehabilitative  and regenerative agencies for helping hurting people.  They each can become more effective through building bridges which combine their spiritual resources in a local congregational setting. A survey of archdiocesan priests expressing their fears and needs is developed.  Research into other diocesan models is conducted.  A model from Newark is deemed the best and worthy of imitation. Six further living accommodation options are developed expanding upon the three existing ones. The response is a proposal for the Schenectady City Mission to establish a habilitative residential program for four-six mothers with children.
