It is God's intention to see his followers transformed into the image of his Son. One of the methods he has chosen to use to realize this spiritual life-change is the preaching of his Word. But preachers have to make sure they are committed to life-changing sermons and not merely an informational exchange. Sermons are meant to bring transformation, not simply inform people of what a biblical text is saying. The author also studies theological motifs of Christian community as a foundational preparation for churches and annual conferences to engage in transformative ministry. One consists of a detailed and systematic review of the content of twelve central courses currently being taught at the Canada Institute of Linguistics as part of a program of training for the role of 'Translation Specialist.' The other component consists of an analysis of survey results in which translation specialists, their supervisors and mother-tongue translators reflect on actual field performance and the effectiveness of prefield training in preparation for fieldwork. I am because we are. In a world of changing culture which privatizes our faith, people can provide transparent accountability for one another in finding and drinking pure, living water resulting in abundant life promised by the Lord Jesus Christ. Regenerating the church is the central focus of the Mairaka Community in Madagascar. It is intended to model a lifestyle of evangelism and discipleship, providing an environment to grow in faith, winning this world for Christ and bringing revival back to the Church. The author's purpose was to investigate why the church died by performing a complete autopsy on the church body. His examination included a review of pre-existing conditions, examples from Scripture, and research from contemporary authors. The key evidence in the case came from the results of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with church members. In the end the author determined that the cause of death was due to complications surrounding stagnant leadership.
