Other great changes were pending as it was losing one of its main buildings. With the congregation subsequently facing an identity crisis, the researcher proposed and conducted five to ten-minute catechetical sessions based on Luther's Catechisms for the whole congregation immediately following the Sunday Divine Service. Data was collected assessing beliefs, desires, practices, and activities indicative of member and congregational self-identity. The design of the project included a quantitative and qualitative survey that assessed the level to which integration was executed. Upon completion of analyzing the data, success with integration of the protocols was revealed, with goal six being most prominent--the participants understanding the purpose of training in formational prayer. Despite this increase, faith-based resources created for children with ASD are scarce. In response, this research project reviewed existing sociological, psychological and theological literature-accompanied by data obtained from a parent focus group, expert review, and professional feedback-to create a faith-based storybook using communication techniques specified for children with ASD. The reasons for this disconnect are investigated and imaginative liturgical strategies are sought to help youth passionately engage in communion. Basic qualitative, narrative analysis, and quantitative research were utilized. Data was collected through personal interviews and focus group interviews. The results show that youth generally find communion routine and done so frequently as to be commonplace.
