This study explores how this emerging church planting method is being used to involve previously unchurched people into new congregations. Quantitative and qualitative pre-tests and post-tests were designed to assess knowledge related to the wellness lifestyles of the African American women participants. The project revealed what the women learned and comprehended about God's health and fitness plan that balanced wellness components for the whole person. The project evaluated the effectiveness of a four-week seminar in educating Christian women on the topic of spiritual gifts. This course assisted the women in the discovery of their spiritual gifts and aided in identifying ministries in which they were gifted to serve. This course of study focused on spiritual gifts and their functions for women who may or may not have known of their spiritual gifts and may or may not have served in ministries or were serving in ministries outside of their spiritual giftedness in the church. By taking thirty Christian women, ages nineteen and older of various church denominations through this course of study, the women gained knowledge of spiritual gifts.  A pre-test/post-test was administered to the students to gauge their knowledge of spiritual gifts before and following instruction. This data revealed an increase in knowledge of spiritual gifts. As a result, researchers have identitifed compassion fatigue as a problematic side-effect of caring for patients with significant emotional and physical distress. Without purposeful intervention, compassion fatigue can lead to more serious conditions such as secondary stress syndrome or burnout. This study explored root causes of exposure to suffering, futility, detachment from patients, and leadership influence. To mitigate the effects of compassion fatigue, the researcher provided a holistic self-care program among emergency department nurses (N=10) at a community-centered hospital. The author used basic qualitative research tools to plan and execute a four-week class with participants ranging from fourth grade to senior adulthood. Each class addressed one or more of the desired outcomes listed above. The method was to establish two centering prayer groups meeting for six weeks to engage in centering prayer daily with weekly group meetings. To evaluate the effectiveness of centering prayer practice, pre-centering prayer and post-centering prayer surveys were conducted to determine stress changes noted due to the centering prayer. The project consisted of intentional education, research and analysis of the intersections of evangelism, Family Systems Theory, Reformed theology, cultural exegesis, and Christian missiology, and used these understandings to explore and analyze growing Presbyterian (PCUSA) congregations in the American West. The praxis director planned twelve worship services designing each element to engage one personality type as measured by the DiSC [registered symbol] model. Participants were surveyed as to engagement with each element. A double-blind study was maintained. The author's thesis is that the Psalms continue to inspire new psalms of praise. The intent was that changes in them will make Advent Presbyterian's church culture more evangelistic. Participants' relationship to evangelism, experience in the class, and efforts to witness were studied within a phenomenological framework, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative results were inconclusive, due primarily to the sample size. Qualitative content analysis of participant statements and actions, however, yielded positive results.
