To accomplish this the project director first conducted research in the area of spiritual formation. From this research he identified six spiritual disciplines that he deemed essential to effective spiritual formation, namely Scripture intake, prayer, worship, confession, service, and witness. He then created a curriculum comprised of seven sessions, covering the concept of discipline and each of the six identified spiritual disciplines. He implemented the curriculum in six one-hour meetings of the course of six weeks. The project director aspired to engage local churches to reach and disciple single adults in a manner relevant to their ministry setting. As single adult ministries have waned, few models exist to reach the population in an adaptable way with local church environments, and this project addressed that need. The project director researched the state of single's ministry in the United States. In this research the project director conducted two major approaches to study. Fastest growing churches in America and a sample of Southern Baptist Churches were contacted for survey. Serving others in the intensity of the trauma and long-term recovery of a disaster can take a physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional toll on caregivers. A retreat was established for spiritual caregivers to be part of a supportive community of others with similar experience of disaster caregiving. Spiritual caregivers were given the opportunity to explore their own experiences and feelings in a comfortable, safe environment and inviting format. In order to solve the problem at hand, the author researched the implications of missional ecclesiology for leadership through adapting the Wesleyan class meetings. The author formed and led a six weeks 'Class Leadership Training (CLT)' for the leadership that rose up in them would be able to move the entire congregation toward a more a missional response to its changing context. The curriculum was taught in two seven-week sessions, also taught as a weekend retreat, and the participants completed a pilgrimage to Mt. Angel Benedictine Abbey, Mt. Angel, OR to finish their spiritual experience. The resource was designed to provide families with an extended case study of the international adoption process. The most prominent finding was Goal #5: Institutional Living. Parents of internationally adopted children find themselves at a loss to comfort, develop, and discipline boys and girls who grew up in orphanages. Using the anthropological and cultural methodology of ethnography, particularly participant observation, the researcher discovered how the nuns preach. Through interviews with the nuns of three monasteries and the laity who live near them, the author discovered that the nuns preach by their very existence, through their prayer, and in their liturgies.
