A 'Life Map' is a contemporary term for a spiritual quest to make sense of one's whole life. This researcher discovered the practice with mentors who guided him through a church crisis at midlife using a Life Map. He subsequently led over fifty seminarians in construction of a Life Map as part of their preparation for ministry, observing a pattern of transformation for these adults. This project surveyed the graduates of Bethel Seminary of the East and interviewed eleven, finding solid confirmation for that hypothesis using statistical analysis and grounded theory. As secondary support for the hypothesis, he explored the theme of spiritual formation and transformation in an Old and New Testament character study. This project also surveyed research literature on a noted spiritual formation model, findings from narrative psychology, and an outline of a history of spiritual autobiography. He synthesized these data sources to propose a model for Life Mapping for use by individuals and groups."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720640745308160,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:09:11.785Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:39:07Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:50:55Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2bed9ac6-9ab2-4307-8e42-73635f1c85e2","accessControl_ssim":["99a9e1d0-a529-40f3-a2c6-4fa3ee8b1768"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The Whole Servant Leader: Leading from the Inside Out"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:39:06Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:24:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["81d530d9-d2d6-46b8-841c-915b4d4f8360"],"hasLease_ssim":["1d52a0be-3a62-498d-8aba-8d4fc3b8e8b0"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel University"],"advisor_tesim":["Jeanine Parolini"],"year_tesim":["2017"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jewel D Williams"],"keyword_tesim":["Clergy--Performance standards"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel University"],"subject_tesim":["Patterson, Kathleen, 1967-","Virtues","Clergy--Religious life","Servant leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Service (Theology)","Clergy--Psychology","Christianity","Mentoring in church work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project addressed the need to understand what internal attributes are necessary for the servant leader to exhibit Patterson's seven virtues successfully. From the data collected the researcher created a rubric scale of church leaders, as well as fourteen recommendations the AA pastor can use a reference guide to minister to LGBT members in their congregations."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129523839827968,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:17:04.243Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:38:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:13:51Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"88094a58-89f5-44ae-9918-013a6b66b10b","accessControl_ssim":["bc9bba02-041a-4ad2-b128-95134ee59312"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["In Support of Feminine Leadership: A model for implementation in the African Methodist Episcopal Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:38:35Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:08:12Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fae565de-beca-4398-a6ef-0b974548eb6f"],"hasLease_ssim":["0ba1d56e-ba4b-4b03-ae60-aa33c392c71c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Catholic Theological Union"],"advisor_tesim":["Isabel N Docampo"],"year_tesim":["2017"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Cynthia R Cole"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Women clergy","Womanist theology","Pastoral theology--Methodist Church","African Methodist Episcopal Church"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project examines the obstacles black women clergy encounter in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.
