The author offers an analysis of church membership decline which is linked to congregational over-dependence on the proclamation model of evangelism, and the failure to engage in relationship-based growth strategies. With John 9:1-41 as a theological context, and assisted by a team of the child's family members and select parishioners, the pastor developed and executed a plan of liturgical reintroduction by appropriating some best practices from deafblind education, including the use of an intervener and the creation of a 'tactile missalete.' This project explored ways of revitalizing Repentance in the parish setting through a parish-wide education program. The project consisted of a sermon series, Sunday school family retreat and adult education opportunity. The researcher conducted a biblical review of female prophets from the Bible, in particular, from the Old Testament. Grounded in positive psychology, four developmental areas framed the inquiry into the leadership development process, each representing an area of identity work. A close-ended survey and open-ended interview protocol were used. Therefore, women's ministry leaders must learn how they can facilitate biblical mentoring relationships for emerging adult women. This project pursued this question through biblical, theological, and current literature in the field, and qualitative research involving emerging adult women and women's ministry leaders. The purpose of this project was to carefully study and succinctly define the qualifications for church leadership as described in 1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Pet 5:1-3, and Matt 20:20-28 with an emphasis upon the church leader's Christ-like character development. I developed the lectures and taught them during a series of sessions in a Bible college course on Ecclesiology in Spanish. The researcher addressed the need for more integration of the FAW movement at Westwood Community Church to achieve a more robust outreach and discipleship ministry in the church and working community. The church and world need the FAW movement's emphasis on the whole person. The conclusions showed that less bifurcating of clergy-laity, secular versus sacred, and work versus faith dualism would be helpful. Second, that working people should run the FAW movement. The denomination has a very effective search system, but with fewer churches available, simple logic suggests that finding a new church is potentially difficult. The catalyst for this research was the author's spiritual and emotional struggles that were prominent during the search process. In an effort to care for pastors and their families in the midst of this wilderness like journey, nine pastors were interviewed in order to paint a proper picture of the PC(USA) search experience.
