With this conviction he examined the conditions of the Korean Church and the local church, the Bok-Ji church, he was serving as a senior pastor, and found that the church had too much focused on the side of individual salvation with paying little attention to joining the universal salvific work of God. At the end of his thesis, based on his Wesleyan belief and his pastoral experience, the researcher proposed on how a local church can operate its social welfare ministry successfully. He suggested these four ways: to utilize the church's resources in order to responsibly perform its missions, to recognize the importance of social welfare ministry whether its results are noticeable or not, to specialize its programs to get attention, and to associate with others that are related to ministry, directly or indirectly."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125150228283392,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:07:33.242Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:35:19Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:31:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"30a67aa0-e233-44f5-8b86-33f8268e475d","accessControl_ssim":["a1d54dad-5b7d-4f6e-96a3-df6752b0c54a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Don't forsake the past: reclaiming the history and heritage of Baptist life and thought in colonial North America"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:35:17Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:32:50Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b715fb58-603b-45c5-af00-a88c515034a8"],"hasLease_ssim":["349b3fbe-0887-4d97-92bf-bd46dd7fbe81"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert Mayer"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"location_tesim":["United States","North Carolina"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Curtis A Dean"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Stearns, Shubal, 1706-1771","Church history","Separate Baptists"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This thesis examines the beginning of the Baptist movement in colonial North Carolina, with particular emphasis upon the Separate Baptist movement under the leadership of the Reverend Shubal Stearns. One possible avenue for therapy, Minuchin's structural family therapy, is explored as a possible effective tool in the therapeutic process."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132450119745537,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:03:34.961Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:34:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:42:02Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"65eecb7b-895b-4a98-a248-c90f976954f1","accessControl_ssim":["81f03f8d-2c97-4ca9-b533-bb76d3a1a3ba"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A feasibility study of multi-site structures for Episcopal Church growth in the twenty-first century"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:34:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:06:54Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4c95997b-08b6-4629-b0bf-c7a360685a00"],"hasLease_ssim":["e0dde1c3-76a5-4fc0-924e-40c83313c1e0"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Steven W Klipowicz"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Clay A Lein"],"keyword_tesim":["Campus ministry","Episcopal Church, Jewish"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church growth","Strategic planning"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Many churches are using multi-site structures for kingdom growth. Could a multi-site approach enable Episcopal parishes to start new communities of faith? Multi-site structures, defines as one church in multiple locations, have strong biblical and ecclesiological support. Several examples can be found in Anglican history, and the canons fully support this approach. Five parishes were found to have implemented multi-sites in suburban contexts. Their experience was explored and documented as a qualitative multiple case study. Their multi-site approaches proved successful. Analysis of these cases, coupled with in-depth study of multi-site literature, yielded 20 specific recommendations for possible future implementation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131098684588032,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:42:06.132Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:34:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:57:35Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d4e611c0-e10e-495a-8b99-0f4243379ed6","accessControl_ssim":["76937f06-421b-4113-ba3a-18e40352ca51"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A strategy for recruiting adult students into the ACHIEVE adult education program of Southeastern Bible College Birmingham, Alabama"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:34:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:13:08Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["167a2eca-0de8-493c-9262-775e28377963"],"hasLease_ssim":["82b5de57-f68f-4abb-8e3e-694a2e2bb303"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert B Hall"],"year_tesim":["2014"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Steven W Cleckler"],"publisher_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Southeastern Bible College (Birmingham, Ala)","Adult education","Non-formal education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to develop an effective recruiting strategy for the ACHIEVE Adult Education Program of Southeastern Bible College, Birmingham, Alabama.
