The goal of designing a holistic discipleship model is to enable Christians to understand more fully and practice more intentionally the true nature of God's reign which we have been called to witness and serve, which is the redemption of all creation. The chapters build toward the development of a curriculum designed to offer every disciple a deeper biblical understanding of God's reign, a clear process of growth consistent with this holistic redemptive biblical vision, and a set of right practices to follow in each dimension of growth, regardless of the participant's particular sense of vocation. By building the curriculum on two influential ethical models of character formation, participants were given the tools to identify ways of deepening their commitment to Christ, growing in their conviction of the kingdom of God, cultivating a more compassionate heart, and developing the kind of Christ-like character that would bear the fruit of the kingdom in their daily lives."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132589143097344,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:05:47.544Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:53Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:05:55Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d9d2f3dc-c0b9-4594-ae58-9cee4d36ade9","accessControl_ssim":["c259097c-cc3c-487c-a888-5405942a7ecf"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Sacred slam: spoken word poetry as sacred art for sacred space"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:49Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:21:37Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["33f033f4-fa64-4452-9374-c1c0b2ba53c3"],"hasLease_ssim":["8e08ca24-71b5-454a-9eae-9b338fe00a05"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["C Anthony Hunt"],"year_tesim":["2014"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. Further, there is a redemptive framework that can inform and shape this developmental process in such a way that lives are changed, transformational leaders can be multiplied, and an organization (a church congregation in this case) may be nurtured into vibrancy and health. This project includes: 1) a description of the organizational context that gave rise to this writer's application of the aforementioned thesis, 2) relevant discussion of biblical and theological foundations that inform and support the thesis, 3) a survey of both spiritual and secular literature that interact with and apply the principles of transformational leadership, and 4) a description of a pilot program designed and implemented by this writer where the convictions of this thesis were applied, tested, and reflected on."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129931733794816,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:23:33.241Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:21Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:41:10Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"608a74a3-5d54-49db-ba78-0b6f315ecf99","accessControl_ssim":["28ab3c0f-a0cf-4d0c-900f-7cf2faabd9cf"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["William Seymour: herald of a multiethnic pentecostalism"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:57:41Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["1a16095b-d568-4108-83b9-b3325c8b6ede"],"hasLease_ssim":["e8f33e3c-249c-4fcf-8c43-67a22c318f6f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Garth M Rosell"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gary-Jason Bryant"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Seymour, William Joseph, 1870-1922","Race relations","Clergy--Biography","History","Azusa Street Mission","Ethnicity","Cultural pluralism","Pentecostal churches"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Within these pages the author examines the life and ministry of the Azusa Street Revival's primary leader, William Seymour. Though born into a world that held tightly to race segregation, Seymour's ministry gave a glimpse of heaven where people of 'every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation' forever worship God together (Revelation 5:9). And though Seymour's childhood included Hoodoo cult influences, he grew into a man who sought only the power and glory of God most high. By placing emphasis on the sociological conditions of Seymour's time and reviewing how this man's early life impacted his ministry training and his eventual leadership of what became a worldwide phenomenon, the author hopes to better understand the role ethnic diversity and culture played in the outpouring at Azusa, seeking to grasp how it impacted the Pentecostal movement and the body of Christ as a whole."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131044082089985,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:41:14.059Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:21Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:37:28Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"4df29ddc-b46b-4455-ad8f-d7ff958914ff","accessControl_ssim":["3e78412a-8c72-4d6b-bbc9-e036ca02b634"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Chinese entrepreneurship in Singapore a study of eight Chinese entrepreneurs in Singapore"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:26:20Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:25:24Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["71d7f8bc-6984-446c-988e-08ebd649cba8"],"hasLease_ssim":["0033b4d9-2be8-4ca7-8dcc-5faae9ed5c2c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"location_tesim":["Singapore"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Clive Chai-Hock Lim"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Economics--Religious aspects--Christianity","Economics and Confucianism","Entrepreneurship"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This is a collective case study of eight Chinese entrepreneurs in Singapore, five of whom are Protestant Christians and the remaining three of different faiths.
