The main proposition is that, because the key element in worship is response to God, and his revelation, and because preaching seeks to expound God's revelation for his people, the natural order is for preaching to come early in a worship service, to be followed by significant worship response time.  Evaluation was made of the current practice of preaching in worship in the congregation served by the project writer, and, by use of a survey in other churches in Canada. Principles were developed for integrating preaching and worship more effectively. The writer surveyed Korean cognitive processes in literature and in the field.  Given the results, guiding principles were developed for effective Bible study materials based on an inductive method.  A sample study was developed by applying the guiding principles and tested with two other American curricula for comparison in the field. Activity centered around: 1) matters relating to Old Testament authority and the adoption of a methodology; 2) a treatment of narrative, poetic and prophetic genres of literature; and 3) two preaching labs. Consequently, it is the author's contention that roleplay ought to be used more frequently in the pastoral theology classroom.  The proposed model portrays counseling, administrative, visitation, pulpit, and personal situations encountered by today's pastors.  It includes the following features: preparatory notes, the actual roleplay, a peer evaluation, a follow-up discussion, a self-evaluation, and the teacher's evaluation.
