It explores Filipino attitudes toward bribery and the biblical boundaries of what constitutes a bribe.  It shows the Bible consistently condemns bribery and extortion.  This condemnation is not based on contexual factors, but on God's impartial character and universal concern for justice for all mankind. The approach is as follows: First, the primary data are gathered through the use of a 'Homiletical Questionnaire' which surveyed 104 Protestant and Roman Catholic homiletics professors.  Second, a primary quantitative analysis of the 16 most popular texts is performed by using a 'Homiletical Scorecard' with 261 headings. Researching the history, polity, and membership statistics of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, the observation is made that certain ecclesiastical procedures hinder, rather than facilitate, each congregation's fulfillment of this mission. Theological critique establishes the case for taking a new approach in order to effectively make disciples of all nations.  A church growth consultation is conducted in a local Christian Reformed congregation, using, in small groups, materials based on the planning cycle.  Although modest results are realized, it is observed that even the best plans, methods, and strategies depend upon prayer and the blessing of God. The project also researched the writings of the major Princeton theologians: Alexander, the Hodges, and Warfield, noting the many references they made to the elements of power encounter.  The Princetonians wrote from a Reformed and exegetical perspective.  The author concludes that the Princetonians offer much needed biblical counsel regarding power encounter.  Miracles are not denied; but, miraculous gifts are refuted for the post-apostolic church upon biblical grounds.  Great care must be taken in verifying alleged miracles.
