Classes were held twice a week. Each class was one and one-half hours long.  The author used the pre-test/post-test method of measuring results.  The class covered the forming of self-concepts, feelings, attitudes and cognitive aspects of rational thinking.  It used the Bible to get a clear understanding of the positive way that God views man. This project's sources of information include the State Department of Education, the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Project Literacy, and selected books that deal with literacy.  The one-on-one method of teaching follows the 'Laubach Way to Reading.' Adults without reading skills are often reluctant to come forward.  However, once they do, a whole new world opens up to them and they find excitement in being able to read. The method of study included research on the primary sources in both religious and secular education and on secondary sources and practical helps.  This research resulted in twelve one and one-half hour training sessions which trained thirteen persons.  Six began teaching immediately.
