The study finds that ministers in general (except for Wesleyans) are significantly more assertive than the general population. Wesleyan ministers are significantly less assertive than non-Wesleyans. Assertiveness is compared with passive and aggressive expressions. Results show that a strong need exists for assertiveness training for many clergy."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["6c1e11e8-b66e-47b6-8fe9-6c546c20935c"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134392516608000,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:34:27.375Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:49:44Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:29:02Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6845d889-3cc5-4775-a686-599b28cb6ffc","accessControl_ssim":["5a4e8d9a-6582-4cb8-8418-185a087c51ec"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A program for improving marital adjustment through conjoint prayer"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:49:44Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:11:12Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["cb2defb9-21e6-4db6-ba82-df7620a2aa90"],"hasLease_ssim":["155e6096-b863-4b8b-80ad-377e4e58e57c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Talbot School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Norman Wakefield"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Mahlon G Friesen"],"keyword_tesim":["Tests and measurements in religion"],"publisher_tesim":["Talbot School of Theology of Biola University"],"subject_tesim":["Workshops (Adult education)","Prayer","Marriage counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project explores the relationship of conjoint prayer to marital adjustment. This development creates for families the difficult choice whether or not they should donate the viable organs of a family member who has died. The emotional aspects that follow death may complicate the decision-making process; yet, the situation demands a timely decision. The purpose of this project is: 1) to examine the ethical and theological issues involved in the decision, and 2) to develop a guide that provides the essential facts and considerations which any patient or family member should reflect on in the decision-making process. The study is limited to an investigation of organs suitable for transplantation and to considerations that face the potential donor or consenting family member. It proposes a Christian theological viewpoint that supports the donation of organs that are still viable for transplant. It does not examine in detail a Christian ethic for transplantation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125195827707904,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:08:16.729Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
