  • English title: Preaching--preachers' or the community's experiences of God and life? Authority, power and giving power away in preaching
Abstrakt
  • The purpose of this current study is to analyze the authority in preaching. Authority is traditionally understood as legitimated power. Authority like other forms of power can be corrupted. Authority as domination needs to be examined in the preaching situation also. The preachers' authority is a crucial problem in contemporary society and therefore new understandings of authority emerge. The authors' questions are: how can the preacher share the experience of God and life with the community through preaching? With different groups in the community can the preacher be an authority, but not the only one? Authority in diversity and partnership is a challenge for preaching in the future.
