Abstract
  • A local German Baptist church filled with successful businesspersons, supervisors, business owners, and operators has a problem filling leadership roles within the church. Most of these lay-people believe they do not have the spiritual maturity to lead. This project trains lay-people to be spiritual leaders with a shepherd's heart. The project is a ten-week course that teaches the participants to lead small groups, have compassion on others, and fill the leadership roles within the church. This project resulted in a training manual for the German context that is useable for the participants to reproduce this course.
