Abstract
  • The goal of this project is to enable institutionalized older adults to find meaning in their lives by reviewing their pasts. The project uses reminiscence, incorporated with a life review process, as a pastoral tool. It assists the older adults in the process of bringing the events and relationships of the past to awareness in the present. As they review the past, the meaning of various situations and events are reorganized and reintegrated into a more valid picture which gives new meaning to their present lives.
