- Abstract
- This project combines aspects of lay ministry and business ethics to develop a framework for decision-making in the workplace for those in a Christian faith community. The theological foundations include the ministry of the laity, two kingdoms, priesthood of all believers, the church, and the role of the laity in the public world. Theoretical foundations include deontology, utilitarianism, absolutism, relativism, Michael Rion's framework from The Responsible Manager, and systems theory. A framework of five questions and six principles was developed by the workshops for decision-making in the workplace.
