Abstract
  • Growth can be nurtured in an open country church through promoting a program of kinship evangelism. Four main studies were included: the study of prayer's impact upon family evangelism; the effectiveness of having a 'family ties' sermon series and a family outreach Sunday; a look at some barriers to rural evangelism; and the effectiveness of specific training in household evangelism through a retreat format. This study showed that kinship evangelism is a viable approach for some rural churches which have large family clans in their church and/or community.
