Abstract
  • This dissertation reveals that Christians who understand and experience the historical geography of Israel enjoy a clearer comprehension of the Bible, better direction in application, and more effective Bible teaching. By means of a survey, the author discovered the scenarios in which historical geography had most affected its students. The research demonstrates historical geography remains indispensable to biblical interpretation, provides a greater confidence in the Bible as God's Word, and instills a greater love for God and the Bible. Those who study historical geography on a study-trip to Israel experience greater benefits than those who study in the classroom alone.
