- Abstract
- A study was performed to identify the presence of dysfunctional families in the evangelical churches from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, and the impact level that this problem causes in the ministry of these churches. The knowledge the pastors have regarding the occurrence of dysfunctional families inside the churches, and about the ways how this situation affects them were researched. An evaluation to identify the dysfunctional level in the families from these churches was performed. The surveyed pastors accept the existence of dysfunctional families within the Christian church, recognizing that this affects its healthy development. It is concluded that the level of dysfunction found in the Christian families was not overwhelmingly serious, but it is significant due to pernicious behavioral patterns transmitted generationally. A ministerial plan to strengthen the family at different levels is proposed.
