Abstract

This project examines the essentiality of application in expository preaching and therefore seeks to create a process by which to improve in the use of application in the preaching event. A process of application was developed and then implemented during a ten week sermon series which was evaluated by a peer as well as congregational group. The author improved measurably during the process. There was also a slight measurable improvement in the obedience or attitude of the congregation due to the improved use of application.
