- Abstract
- In Greene Township of Beaver County in southwestern Pennsylvania, only one-third of the population has any substantive connection with a local church. No pastor in the area claims any significant results in reaching the two-thirds of the population that are unchurched. One contributing factor to this lack of success is the apparent reluctance of most churched people to invite their unchurched family, friends, and neighbors to come to church with them. This study explores some of the reasons for that behavior.
