- Abstract
- This project explored the personal and corporate nature of discipleship in Jesus Christ as the church faces the constants and variables of contemporary society. The project was carried out within the context of the Central United Methodist Church of Flint, Michigan. Utilizing the small group process, a six-week practicum was employed to embrace an experience that would challenge the participants to discover the wholeness of being Christian. Efforts were taken to use non-traditional language in order to establish fresh images that would be inclusive of the non-churched culture wherein we live.
