Abstract
  • Centering prayer is the solution to some dilemmas in the Korean church. The causes of the church's problems are rooted in the believers' absence of experiences with God and misunderstandings about prayer and spirituality. Centering prayer is a long overlooked form of contemplative prayer rediscovered within the Christian heritage. With solid historical, biblical, and theological bases, it is a key tool in producing spiritual growth and maturity in contemporary Christians. The disciplined practice of centering prayer leads to restoration of the essences of Christian faith, including daily experience of God, purified motives in prayer, and living a life of pure love.
