Abstract
  • Catholic high schools in the United States have always been centers for praxes of religious education with young people, but the increasing religious diversification of student population calls the shape of these religious education praxes into question. Whereas once such praxes were framed by catechetical assumptions, today's changing context suggests that this catechetical orientation is no longer appropriate, if even operative. based on analyses of context, experience, current praxes, and theological positions, this thesis-project proposes evangelization and dialogue as new directions toward a more effective framework for religious education praxes at Catholic high schools.
