Abstract
  • A six-session group study on world hunger held at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Fredericksburg, VA, Ja 9 to F 13, 1983, was led by the church pastor and author of the thesis. The six chapters of the thesis correspond to the subjects of the six sessions: the facts of present-day world hunger; the causes of world hunger; a survey of the Bible's view of hunger and injustice; a brief review of the church's historical response to the hungry; a description of the work of a Christian public policy organization, Bread for the World; and local church action on the problem of world hunger.
