Abstract
  • Twelve individuals associated with Pittsford Community Church participated in a discipleship program based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and reported identifiable spiritual growth. This project began with the development of a curriculum that incorporated all of the events and teachings in Jesus' life. The participants engaged in daily personal study and weekly small group interaction over a 12-week period. They also agreed to lead another individual or group through the same study. Through pre-program, post=program, and final interviews, the participants reported cognitive, attitudinal, and behavioral results. These results indicated that Christians who participate in a discipleship ministry based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ will report a deeper devotion to him.
