- Abstract
- This project explores the problems involved in the involuntary termination of pastors. The project examines reasons for involuntary termination, the dynamics involved, and the possible conflicts between the pastor and the congregation. Results of a study of twenty-six terminations reveal some of the factors involving tenure of position, competencies, role expectations, and the trauma in the lives of pastors and their families.
