Abstract
  • This work studies the impact of this congregation's involvement with the Model Congregations Task Force of the Laity Project of Andover Newton Theological School from 1978 through 1982, and the use of the concepts in the workbook developed within that project, Empowering Laity for Their Full Ministry. It identifies and describes explicit strategies and tactics developed to help the congregation move toward increased effectiveness at equipping its members for ministry in their daily workplaces. Analysis is undertaken of the continuing impact on the ongoing life of the congregation today. Concrete suggestions are offered to other churches.
